Regular Meeting
September 18, 2006
The Board of Glacier County Commissioners met at their
regular meeting at 8:00 A.M. on Monday, September 18,
2006. Commissioners Ray Salois and Michael DesRosier were
present. Commissioner John Ray was absent for personal
reasons. Chairman Ray Salois called the meeting to order.
Clerk and Recorder Sylvia Berkram recorded the proceedings.
The Commissioners approved Resolution 2006-29 to increase
the Babb St. Marys Firemen’s budget by $6,000 for
a DNR&C Grant they received. Commissioner DesRosier
moved to approve the resolution. Commissioner Salois seconded
the motion that passed by Board vote. The resolution reads
as follows:
GLACIER COUNTY RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION 2006-29
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation,
Division of Volunteer and Rural Fire Assistance (VRA/RFA)
Program Fire and Aviation Management, Forestry Division
of the State of Montana, has funds allocated to the Glacier
County Babb Volunteer Fire Department, for the purpose
of reimbursing the department for fire assistance. The
amount awarded of $6,000.00 will be deposited to the General
Fund No. 1000 for the Babb Fire Department account in
Fiscal Year 2007, and;
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that within the Babb Fire
Department Account in the General Fund the line item account
of 1000-420464-230 Repair and Maintenance Supplies, shall
be increased the amount of $6,000.00 to disperse these
monies. The said funds shall be deposited to the revenue
account of 1000-334121, DNRC Grant Revenue.

The Commissioners met with Treasurer Kate Salois regarding
her office vacancies. There is her former position open
and the chief deputy has notified her that she will be
leaving at the end of the year. She will be retiring.
She would like to advertise right a way to get someone
hired before she (the chief deputy) leaves. She would
just advertise for one now and wait until after the election
to advertise for the other position. The Board gave her
permission to advertise now for the one position.
There being no further business for the day, the meeting
adjourned at Noon with a motion by Commissioner DesRosier
and a second by Commissioner Salois. The motion passed
by Board vote.
